Hello everyone, welcome to Issue #19 of My PPA logbook!
So in last week's issue, I wrote about my PPA trying to kee me. Earlier this week, I put out a job opening in a group, and someone thought it was my PPA recruiting. Nah, I wouldn't be part of a d3ath recruitment scheme.
Anyway, thank you to Mercy T. Welcome to the fold. You're immediately attached to the evangelism unit. Go out and share this gospel.
I am, as always, excited for this week's issue. Something happened that probably hasn't before. Do enjoy.

I think it's safe to say I haven't jinxed the staff bus yet. I was early enough to get a bus to Cele for ₦500 sha. I met the bus, that’s the koko.
At work, the biggest issue today was on the Machine 202 machine. We couldn't find what happened, so we did trial and error till it started working. However, not too long after, it was causing problems again. What really happened was that the knife was cutting where it was supposed not to. This resulted in product waste and orisirisi. It took a long time to fix. At one point, I left them to go and eat because it was almost 12 pm. We later discovered that the fault was from the operator. He fixed the nylon film in the wrong way. Damn! E con be like say we no sabi work.
Later, I washed the bearings again. I'm still yet to get a name for my cleaning business. Epp me, plix. After that, I was to assist somebody in the mill, but he left before me, and I didn't know where he was working. I sha went to the mill and climbed up to the third floor. When I didn't see him, I went back to the workshop to ask where he was working, something I should've done earlier. I was told he was on the fourth floor. Chai, I went back to the mill and was climbing the stairs to the second floor when he was coming down already. The work yaff finish and I had no hand in it.

This morning, I stalled to enter the bus at the bus stop because it had only one passenger, and it was taking time for others to come. Maybe they were like me. So I stood in front of the bus, waiting for a maruwa, or a private vehicle, or even a bus that had passengers to come, but they wouldn't come. And then, little by little, this bus is getting filled. Realising that this bus might leave me behind if I don't take action, I entered too. The driver even told one woman who behaved like me, 'God don talk say na this bus you go enter'. The stone which the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.
There's this colleague that carries me along every time he's doing something. When I saw that they posted an issue on the group chat, I knew he was going to call me. Pastor, make we go fire work. Even though I hesitate somehow, I'll still go. So, I'm just here at machine 101, doing nothing because all the Ogas, both in the mechanical and electrical departments, are here. I left them there. Be like I don dey comot body from this work small small sha.
My Oga sees me later and takes me to his office. There's this report that he has been telling me about for months, but he hasn't put me through yet, and I've been avoiding him too. He sha no gree for me today; he put me through one of them, and I escaped yet again because my back aches from writing and sitting in the wrong position. We go again another time.

I stalled again today like I did yesterday, but the one is korope, so it was quicker.
There were more people than chairs in the office today and no space to even sit on the floor, so I decided to go outside. I was charging my phone; that meant I was just there, and before I knew it, I started sleeping. This was early in the morning, ooo, before our meetings sef. Boyyyy...today's going to be good. I spent most of my day sleeping. It has never happened.
The only thing I did was to remove parts of a machine they wanted to dispose of. Apart from that, sleep and more sleep.
As I was changing to normal clothes in preparation to go home after today's work, the conversation below ensued between me and my Oga:
My Oga: Pastor, wetin you do today?
Me (smiling ): Sleep, I slept.
My Oga: Thank God say you know.
Me: (laughs)
Curtain fades.
Act 1, scene 1 ends.
Let's have more days like this, plix. Sleep is intrinsically good. Don't slumber sha.

₦500 korope again today.
Oh yeah, I'll be going to work today. Today is General CDS, so I'll go to work, then general CDS, and back again to work. My weekend starts tomorrow. The CDS was boring as usual, a total waste of time and resources. Maybe not for the people that get the opportunity to advertise their business sha.
Okay, I talked about one guy and one babe in a previous issue; I've been looking for the guy since that time. I saw him today with the same babe, I guess. I didn't really see her face that day, but I think she's the one. Her face is matching the voice I heard that day. They're still together. Lol.
Back to work and no serious work like that. Just there dozing and pressing my phone till later in the evening. Line 3 has been stopped for a plumbing job and was given to a contractor to do the job. The contractor needed some mechanical personnel to work with him, and they called me too. Come and see as I was sweating like a goat. I even removed my top at one point, but the sweat dey drop like rain. The sweat no reach the ₦500 I got from the job, but I go manage am.
When I got back to the office, somebody was playing PES alone, and I immediately picked the second pad because people no plenty sha because if there were plenty of people, I'd have ignored it. We sha played and inside 10 minutes, dem don score me. Chai, I no say I no kuku good before but... I was able to equalise, and the game finished in a draw. I should play often now. Maybe, maybe not. Fingers crossed.

I'm home alone today. No work, no CDS. I barely do anything apart from chatting with folks. I think I've opened myself to talk more in my service years than I ever did, and I'm loving it.
Later in the day, I picked up Atomic Habits by James Clear to read. One thing that stood out for me was when I read, ‘The most effective form of motivation is progress’. I think that's true. Just seeing the little progress I make here motivates me to keep showing up and writing to you. The goal is not perfection; it is progress. I also listened to the How To Take Over The World podcast. The Walt Disney episode is a very interesting one. I like the fact that Walt didn't dwell on his success, Mickey Mouse, but was looking for the next big thing. It's good that you got an A, but can you do an A+? Think about it.
Let's Talk.
Sleep is intrinsically good. Yes or no?
Who do you know that plays PES so well? I want to beat him.
Until next time, stay safe and keep yourself out of trouble.
